Advia Credit Union Launches Annual School Supply Drive

Advia Credit Union is excited to announce the launch of its annual Back to School Supply Drive, running from August 5 to August 23. The community is invited to support local schools by donating essential supplies at any of Advia’s branch locations across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

This initiative is part of Advia’s ongoing commitment to education and community support. As students prepare to head back to school, having the necessary tools for success is important to the team at Advia. Contributions will directly benefit local students, ensuring they start the school year with confidence.

Jeff Bolser, Advia’s Chief Retail Officer, stated that Advia staff will be donating supplies directly to the school districts where the credit union has branches.

“At Advia, providing financial advantages is central to our mission, and education is key for community financial health,” Bolser said. “We’re committed to helping local students by donating essential supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks. Many families face the challenge of back-to-school expenses, and we aim to ensure every child starts the year with the tools they need to succeed.”

In addition to the School Supply Drive, Advia encourages educators to explore The Advia Foundation’s Teachers and Educators Scholarship Program. This ongoing program is designed to support teachers in bringing financial education into their classrooms, fostering financial literacy among students from a young age. Scholarship applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

“Through our Teachers and Educators Scholarship Program, the Advia Foundation is dedicated to enhancing financial literacy and supporting educators who are committed to enriching their students' education,” Nancy Loftis, Advia’s VP of Marketing and Public Relations and President of the Advia Foundation said. “By investing in financial education, we aim to improve the overall quality of life in our communities and empower the next generation for future success.”
